Just wanted to say that I have had the best time ever with my new Mini CC. Apart from the interesting experience of getting a E size oxygen cylinder up my stairs, the change from the Hothead to the Mini CC has been the best move I could have made. It's so quiet and efficient and no more dirty beads. I love it and have found it remarkably easy to change across from one to the other.

Finally got my Concentrator last night and just made my first bead. Just figured out how to light the gas.

Had a few try's at it but. Nearly shit my pants when I actually lit the flame!

WHoa! Cornel recommending that I set it up outside first, good advice hey!

Holy cow, it was like an outta body experience. So deathly quiet.

The glass just melted like butter. I think I've just had a glass orgasm

I have recently purchased the mini Carlisle torch and I LOVE it.

After coming off a hot head I love the fact that I can hear everything going on around me. It’s so quiet. I haven’t had any issues with the transition from using the hot head to the hotter flame produced by the mini Carlisle torch.

It’s a great buy and I definitely do not look back on this purchase as a bad one. I purchased this torch through Ozziebuddy and I’m very impressed with the level of service provided.
I had heaps of ‘dumb’ questions to be answered as I wanted to make sure I was buying the best torch for my needs and every question was answered.

I received a phone call from Ozziebuddy to confirm my delivery day.

Hi Barbara, Just a quick note to let you know that I have annealed several batches of beads following your instructions in my new kiln and couldn't be happier. Every thing has gone extremely well and the kiln has behaved perfectly. I love your bead release and can't believe how easy the beads are to get off of the mandrel. You have certainly got the right formula there. My email address is now different as my internet provider went out of business so I'm now with big pond. Once again a big thank you for your wonderful products. I am truly a happy and satisfied customer.

Setting it up was nice and easy.
I wasn't too sure about attaching my torch, as I use a HH with a larger gas bottle and the instruction sheet showed the HH directly onto a small bottle. However I found a nice clear photo on the net showing the station set up with the torch the same way as mine.
At first I struggled a bit as, of course, my whole posture was different and it felt a little awkward. Once I worked out how to use the wrist supports though, I found the station made the whole experience very enjoyable. I have arthritis but had no problem working for several hours. (Normally I end up feeling quite stiff particularly in the shoulders and wrists).
The torch was well balanced and at a good angle, and having the elbow rests off of the table meant that my shoulders were much more relaxed. As I don't have a workroom I can only use it as a portable device, not fixed, and it only took me a few minutes to dismantle. I haven't looked at the beads I made yet (still in the vermiculite), but I felt much more in control of the session, which is really important to me as a beginner.

I have probably raved on a lot more than you actually wanted to hear, but I have nothing but good to say about it. This was definitely money well spent and I want to thank you again. It was a pleasure doing business with you.

Just a note to let you know that I am finding the CS really helpful for my posture during bead making. The flaps at the side extend the work surface so I don't have to put my elbows forward onto the table and consequently I'm not hunched over the torch.
During my work, I have hot tools and mandrels being waved around which occasionally come into contact with the wrist rests causing burned foam. I have made some leather socks to cover the wrist rests so they don't singe as easily.

The verdict - bloody brilliant. Spent 7 hours at the torch today and am nowhere near as fatigued as usual. Best money I ever spent. Apart from the torch that is!!
Never finished 6 sets in one weekend before. That will tell you how good I feel.
