We looked for a quiet B&B in Waitomo - and we found it - about 2kms past the Waitomo Glow Worm Caves entrance.


This is the entrance to Valley View - and to your hosts Teaa and Peter Dowd - $70/n - absolutely fab.

1st impressions count - and this is what you see as you walk in the door.

A view from the back door - Sky TV and a gas heater for those cool nights.

The bedroom - cosy and very comfortable - a temperature controlled heater keeps the room warm at night.

This is the view as you sit on the end of the queen size bed..

Looking at the unit from outside - note the huge stand of ancient tree ferns on the hillside.


Peter's wild ducks - about 150 show up at feeding time - then fly off to one of two ponds just down from this hillside.
